Called in on a very busy day for savoury and cream tea. Staff were lovely, working their socks off and food was excellent. Loved the message on the door re staffing - we can all learn from it. Great scones. Thanks

Great little place for lunch. Service quick and good choice of food. Plenty of seating out the back or inside. Overall worth a visit.

I came here twice in my 3 day visit to Dunster. The staff are so genuine and friendly, the food was lovely both times and the outdoor garden at the back was so magical and cute. Would definitely recommend for a coffee time cake or...lunch to people visiting Dunster. Thank you! 😊More

We decided to visit Dunster as we had been there many years ago. My partner and I are vegetarian so I googled the cafes and narrowed it down to tessas in the high street. We went in and I saw the food served on wooden...boards and it all looked very colourful and I was looking forward to eating. We asked for soup but they had run out also the coleslaw which seemed to be on most dishes was out so they replaced that with crisps which seemed odd. I ordered a red onion tart which comes with salad and crisps. My partner ordered a red lentil pie with salad and my daughter a cheese and tomato toasted sandwich. When the food arrived it was very disappointing. My red onion tart was not a tart at all. It was soft and like spong with grey mushrooms in it could not see an onion in sight and the salad was old with dirty leaves in it. Not seasoned at all or washed. The chef had put strawberries and blueberries in it which was very odd. The crisps however were good. My partner had more luck with the red lentil pie which looked home cooked however it was not cooked at all as the pastry was raw throughout and she left 50% of it on the plate. Her salad was also dry lifeless and strange with fruit. My daughter had the toastie which was so thick with congealed cheese it was hard to eat. When we spoke to the young lady who was chatting most of the time to the young lads she assured me it was a red onion tart as she offered to show me the box!!! It was by far the worst vegetarian meal I have ever had and my 5 year old daughter cooks better at home. A waste of £40.00.More

These past two days with my second and third visits to TESSAs tearooms and I certainly will return! The quality of the food and service today were absolutely outstanding ! The Ploughman‘s lunch that I ate l, and the cranberry and brie sandwich that my...wife consumed were both absolutely excellent m, and good value for money. Quality local produce presented in a beautiful way as can be seen by the photographs. The staff were extremely friendly and the service prompt the premises were clean and Covid compliance was still obvious even though we sat in the outside tea garden area.More

Had coffee, tea, cakes and lunches here when on a short break in Dunster, so good didn’t look anywhere else to eat. Service very fast, staff pleasant, friendly and efficient, vegan and vegetarians catered for. Would strongly recommend.

Having made an extensive study of afternoon cakes (and tea), we can honestly say that this is the best tea room we have ever been to. All the cakes I have ever heard of where present and several I hadn't heard of. We enjoyed it...so much so that we had one lot of drinks and cakes, and promptly ordered another round. Lovely garden at the back to eat , nice and quiet away from the main road. Staff faultless, owner lovely. Top quality cakes, without playing a fortune. Loved it.More

Stopped here for a cream tea in the lovely rear garden. Scones were excellent, as was the service and we really enjoyed the lovely enclosed rear garden. Highly recommend a visit

This happened to us a couple of times too. We took 'pot luck' and the last time we went they were open! Sorry if this isn't very helpful.
