Great little cafe that we visited after visiting the castle. Lovely home-cooked cakes and meals, sensibly-priced, and lovely drinks. Friendly staff and attractive garden area.

Visited this delightful place today with the dog and had a superb lunch. The good lady had cottage pie and I had steak and kidney suet pudding , both served with vegetables. The food was so tasty and piping hot, I love steak and kidney...and this is up there with the best I have had! It really is that good , if you are in Dunster don’t go anywhere else!!More

Went with my husband and dad. We all had a different main course which was served quickly and was piping hot traditional english food.

Great cake, great coffee, lovely outdoor seating space. Recommend the lasagne and any cake made by Margaret. We've had breakfast, morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea over the years and never been disappointed. It's reasonable too.

Had a lovely all-day breakfast. Sat in the courtyard terrace. Beautiful flower display on one side. Service was great, staff were lovely and covid precautions well organised. Thank you.

We stopped for lunch after a visit to the castle. With the Covid restrictions the main room was not open but the covered garden area was lovely. We were served by very cheerful staff. All Covid measures were in place and followed. I had the...cottage pie and my wife had the lasagna. The portions size was very good and the flavour excellent. We followed with scones with jam and cream again very good. Dogs are also catered for.More

Following our visit to Dunster Castle we stopped here for a cream tea, the cafe is very quirky set in a small courtyard but that gives it a bit of character. The cream teas were nice and the staff very friendly.

We loved this Coffee House. Thoroughly recommend it to readers and suggest they wait patiently for a free table, due to Covid-19 precautions, as the delay is worth it. Lovely food, very friendly staff. The cakes are baked locally (the Bakewell Tart was a star)...and the lovely scones, baked on premises. Very dog friendly too. Staff happy to suggest places to visit and restaurants/pubs to eat at.More

We ordered Somerset cream tea for 2 with a latte and earl grey tea. Girls were friendly and helpful. When the cream tea arrived my partner and I both looked at each other...in the west country the main part of a cream tea is in...the title ...CREAM!! There was 2 scones each which were lovely but the cream came in the same size dish as the jam and that wasn't huge! There was just enough for 2 scones so we had to ask for more cream and this time the dish was half the size!. If the owner has a problem with cream portions then I think he needs to look at putting the price up a little. While we were there 10 people came in, sat on 2 tables 9/10 ordered cream teas and then all hell let loose...the staff couldn't work out how many scones they needed and realised they didnt have enough so someone set to bake some more, the girls couldn't work out the drinks ...it was all a bit chaotic. We paid our bill and to completely finish us off they overcharged us. They really do need to get sorted before the season starts properly...there are lots of tea rooms in Dunster and I'm sorry to say we wont be returning!!More
