Visited Glastonbury with a friend we were disappointed with the bar service uninterested bar staff and i could not pay with a MasterCard unless it was more than £10. We were guests at the hotel and could not run a tab or have a drink on our return the manager was very helpful and pointed out the licensing law due... More

Built in 1452; so stacks of history. Unfortunately playing on the wacky/weird rather than anything accurate, but my elderly mother enjoyed the atmosphere and there was a lovely fire. Lunch was dire - salmon and prawn hot baguette with chips and salad - the smoked salmon had obviously been left unwrapped in the packet, such that there was a hard... More

This is an amazing old hotel hundreds of years old. The staff were very friendly if a little forgetful (but, hey, this is Glastonbury!) and the food was jolly good. It''s more of an experience that a gourmet delight, but well worth it.

Nothing wrong here the place was pleasant and the food decent though not noteworthy. I guess I would describe it as a relatively price effective place to eat but not one I would go out of my way to eat at. Decent beer.

The George & Pilgrim is an exceptionally old and historic building. Just sitting in the bar area you can feel the history!! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal tasty & plentiful (liver, bacon & onions). My husbands chilli was thin and relatively tasteless, a bit of a dissapointment. Service was good and warm.

Had to say what a great place and very busy food very good despite many diners service was quick ate in the bar although there is a restaurant area . I find myself defending the hotel from some derogatory remarks on trip advisor in paticular an obnoctious person who was loud and complained about some food however she had eaten... More

this is the oldest pub in town and taste of the food is more then good, not the best, but there is something special in it and this is why I always come back when I stop in Glastonbury.

They only do roast dinners on a Sunday and, oh boy, are they good! We had roast beef which was slow roasted and melted in the mouth. Served with the usual roast potatoes, boiled veg and Yorkshire pudding, and accompanied by a little gravy. Very good indeed. The building is also very old and interesting too.
