Renowned fish and chip shop at the end of the main shopping street in Aldeburgh. Big queues every evening, and once tasted you#'' understand why. Wonderful skinless and boneless batterd fish with proper chips, worth travelling miles for.

What amazing haddock and chips ,haddock was lovely and fresh the batter was perfect and the chips were too and good value for money. I took them to the pub next door who are quite happy for you to eat them in their beer garden...More

It was 1968 when I first tasted Horace Cooney’s fabulous fish & chips. My father always managed to sneak in a pint, while I stood in the queue. Peter, Horace’s son was in my class at school, so of course I kept visiting whenever in...More

Always a pleasure to eat the tastiest fish and chips for miles around here. Queues around the corner and fast service make this a must do in Aldeburgh. Recommend sitting on the beach wall and wash them down with a can of Adnams beer! 🍻

Great fish and chips! Located at two spots on the high street, no gravy, only downside but great tasting. Be prepared to queue!! They are that good! They close at 8.30pm (I think in the summer only, winter maybe different?) so don’t leave it too...More

Fish and chips were great although portions are quite small compared to other seaside towns in England. Would recommend.

Always visit when we’re in Aldeburgh. The queues around the block tell you how good this place is. Very fresh fish, caught locally that morning, is well cooked and full of flavour. I have never been disappointed with Aldeburgh fish and chips

Excellent fish and chips. The staff dealt admirably with the huge demand. Try the Stokes tomato ketchup.

There is nothing more delicious than ordering fish and chips at a beachside tourist spot. We were not disappointed by our choice and happily sat at the pebbled beach to eat our lunch. A 'must do' if you visit Aldeburgh.

Quite frankly this is the best chip shop I have ever encountered There is nothing to compare with sausage and chips and scraps on the beach. Don't worry about the queue they are VERY efficient Tip-their large portion of chips is enough for two-order two...More
