Locals recommended the shop and despite the queues into the street service was quick and proper portions provided

Great fish and chips. Really enjoyed the cooked to order haddock and the chips were great. the large haddock was perfect with crispy batter. I only had the smaller portions of chips and they were ample.

Over-cooked, dry, shrivelled haddock. Very small portions of fish (medium and large), likewise with the chips. Good flavour, but much of fish and batter was inedible due to as described.

The busty mermaid perched enticingly outside this restaurant`s front door makes your eyes pop out as you enter! Food wise, the Haddock is superb and the chips are just right. Cannot be dealing with all this queuing up nonsense though! I mean who wants to...More

The usual good cheerful & polite service but what has happened to the Aldeburgh sisters best fish & chip shop in England ? We took ours away & sat on the sea front expecting the usual top quality fish & chips only to find the...More

Spotlessly clean and in a good location. Fish cod, haddock, plaice was well cooked and the batter crisp without being greasy. There were a lot of bones in the cod as others have mentioned. Chips were no better than average, just a little on the...More

I've tried the other Chippy in town, this one knocks spots it. If you want the best, go here, there's no contest. Crispy batter, firm, White succulent fish mmmmm. I say no more.

Worth the queue for this fab fish & chip take away. We had fish & chips, which we then sat on the beach and ate, watching the sun set - bliss! Highly recommend it - and it IS worth the wait!

I like fish and chips, don't have it very often, but when there's an opportunity to eat it on a sunny, breezy beautiful beach, with your fingers (those wretched little wooden forks don't do it, do they) - well, there's just no resisting it. I...More

Eight of us went down to Aldeburgh to get fish and chips to eat on the seafront. Had to wait for a while to be served but was worth it. We all had "eyes bigger than belly" syndrome and ordered large fish which was very...More

Hi this is Vicky , OK , the way the corkage works is £3.00 per table for a bottle of wine & 50 p per bottle of beer! How's that ?! The only BYO ( bring your own ) in Aldeburgh! Enjoy. X
