We like to use this cafe for lunch when we are in town. It's an independant. Food is always freshly cooked. I recommend anything that has the sausages or bacon as Mr Bird, the proprietor and chef, uses Powters Newmarket sausages and Wiltshire Bacon. My Mrs adores the various baguettes. This cafe is not fast food nor is it fine... More

Service is terrible. Food is just average at best. I ordered A baked potato when it eventually came it was small and had no garnish with it. Just a potato on its own when my garnish did come to the table after complaining there was a fly in it . I Told the waitress didn't even get an apology. Service... More

Did not enjoy at all, decor is dingy, service was slow and by young girls whom perhaps need a lesson in customer service, expected better for the price paid, 3 x baked potatoes and 3 cups of tea came to £23. Food was very basic, a huge jacket potato sliced open (no butter) covered in cheap tasting baked beans which... More

Had a family meal, and 3 baked potatoes and a panini. Really quite average, and lacking in flavour. Seemed to be overstaffed, lots of people stood around watching the customers eat.

The wait staff were disinterested, the tables were greasy, the food was boring. The coffee was so bad! Never again. Try the Scandinavian Coffee House instead!

Tried to go here with my small person for some breakfast, as with many places they offer set menu breakfasts which is great if you don't have allergies but I can't have eggs, I asked politely if it would be possible to swap the egg for something else like a slice of bacon at which point the man was quite... Awful place. I think the owner has to rethink his concept of customer service and employ some other people. Rude waitress that acted like we were inconveniencing her ! WE are giving THEM business. Nothing amazing inside and food wasn't anything out of this world. Go somewhere else.
