Had not heard anything good about the old scotch until a friend told me they had moved to studlands area and the quality had much improved. Have to say that we tried with some apprehension after being let down by the lancer a couple of times (them not turning up or taking hours to turn up.) we went to pick... More

Me and my partner have been a few times and we really like the food. The staff are friendly and you can also use a tastecard here!

OK plenty of people give bad reviews because the food wasn't what the expected but I reviewed this restaurant over a year ago when I was delighted with the food and service! What a difference a year makes. We visited early evening on a rainy mid-week day in mid-June, there was no other customers but as it was mid-week maybe... More

The food was good. However, if you want to use your taste card, don't hold out too much hope. There was one other couple in the restaurant, who also had the same trouble. Apparently it's 'the rules' that you have to phone and book to use your tastecard. No where on the tastecard website or in the restaurant does it... More

A Sunday night at about 7pm, six of us walked in and we were the only customers. The place does seem as bit odd for an Indian restaurant, more suited to a tea room. Our food came up very quick, it was excellent, could not fault it. We had to ask for some background music to be put on as... More

I do enjoy a good indian meal. So , when a friend suggested dining out, we went to the Old Scotch. The service was good, the food was good , the price was reasonable. I would go there again.

Superb food but had to sit at the front of the restaurant by the door. Got to say, it was shabby and the service wasn't that great but the food was really delicious. So if you can put up with the surroundings and service then it is definitely worth a visit

Good service, good price & great food. Haven't been here for a while but was reminded the other night about how good this place is. The half tandoori chicken was excellent. My only gripe would be that it was s bit cold due to the air con coming on every so often.

Being a lover of Indian food, having moved to Newmarket I was dying to try Indian food .. The curry was ok ordered chicken tikka ( normally orange in colour with sauce) but it was dark brown and thick not really a sauce .. Bombay potatoes were very oily, with about 5mm thick at the bottom of both containers, chicken... More
