We had intended to eat in Woodbridge centre but had been baulked by lack of car parking spaces so were heading out when we passed this pub. The bar area was quite full but we found a table and looked at the menu and the specials on the board. These were all interesting with twists showing that a real chef... More

I love The Cherry Tree. It really is a perfect pub. Welcoming, cosy and homely with great food and warm fires. I'm currently sitting here on a cold Saturday lunchtime with a really tasty sausage sandwich and the very best chips. Sauces are locally made Stokes and the sausages are from a local butcher. The staff are so friendly. They... More

We visited the cherry tree on the off chance as we wasn't sure if they are dog friendly however we will definitely go back again soon. A very friendly welcoming pub for us and our dog with excellent service and food.

Food average, service not good, not enough staff to cope with customers. Waiting between dishes 20 minutes had to ask for coffee and tea. Overall experience would not recommend at busy times.

Works Christmas Meal. 13 of us. All tables positions dressed for Xmas. Starters all turned up perfect, mains all came hot and together. Desserts were spot on. Not one grumble from anybody. All staff were brilliant. Can't fault anything about the food, staff or the pub. Highly recommended. Perfect.

Dog friendly but we chose to sit outside in the glorious winter sun, such a shady nice area in a garden area. Had only a suasage sandwich but due to local produce- revetts sausage and a Woodbridge bakery to supply wholemeal rye bread it was just perfect. Nice olive oil to dip the crusts into and a small side salad with... More

My wife and I were staying in Suffolk and had been out for the day. We passed the cherry tree and decided to stop for an evening meal. The car park was small and very busy we have to park over the road which wasn't a problem. When we went into the pub it was very busy with a mixture... More

There are a number of restaurants in Woodbridge offering rather elevated cuisine, with prices to match, but if you have a less adventurous palate there are several excellent local pubs that will more than satisfy your hunger. We tried the Cherry Tree in Cumberland Street – only 10 minutes’ walk from the main shops down a residential street and directly... More
