We came here on the 13th of November. I accidently booked for the wrong day but the lovely lady at the front door saved my date night and still got us a table on a Saturday night. We started at the bar. The bar tender...was fantastic. He walked us through different wines and their tones, tastes and stories. We both got the 3 glass taster, one red and one sweet. Lovely. The host (amazing lady, possibly the manager) took us to our table near the window. She took our order. The food arrived (fantastic) then the host (amazing lady) came back and offered to move us to a nicer table for our mains. The new table was I'd have to say the best table in the restaurant. We then went on to rack up a 150£ bill and on numerous wines and deserts. I have to say it was the best experience in newcastle We have ever had. All the staff from the bar man, the amazing host/manager and the servers were professional and honestly awesome. The food was also great. Thank you french quarter for a fantastic experience.More

Terrific french tapas - smallish plates to share. Very good quality, tasty food. And an interesting wine flight, so we could try 6 different wines (3 each, but again shared). Nice cosmopolitan atmosphere. Don't be put off by the look from outside - the restaurant...is in arch under the railway, but it is great inside. We would defintely recommendMore

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch here last week, excellent food and a brilliant flight of wines. I hope we'll be back again another time - for dinner, if possible

Lovely food, great help given by our server Grace as we had never eaten French tapas before. Wine very good also. We had a high table at the front of the restaurant which we opted to keep despite them kindly offering us a lower table...just after arrival. I honestly don’t know why people don’t like the high seating; for us it was perfect as we could watch the very entertaining Newcastle evening scenes whilst eating. Perfect. Thank you.More

This quaint and rustic little spot next to the River Tyne is a fantastic French restaurant to visit in Newcastle Upon-Tyne. Serving up tapas-style food, it is an excellent and affordable option for couples and larger groups. The food and service was absolutely fantastic as...well - would definitely visit again.More

Authentic french tapas style food served with fine french wine - simple and absolutely delicious. Service was great and the surroundings quirky. I would recommend this restaurant - the mixed meat and cheese board and whole roasted garlic was very tasty

My partner and I visited here last night before a gig at The Boiler Shop. We just booked last minute and so pleased we did, we will definitely be back. The service was so professional, friendly and they were so knowledgeable about the food. We...had the mixed board (meat and cheese) along with a couple of sides, it was so good I could eat it all over again right now! We've just returned from a week in London and a couple nights in Manchester, this was cheaper than all the meals we ate in both other cities and this was the best meal by far! A great little restaurant!More

We visited the French Quarter for an anniversary meal recently, and it lived up to all expectations. Our waitress Cassidy was lovely and attentive, and the food was gorgeous. Reasonably priced considering how nice it was - we’re both students so saved up for the...special occasion and it was well worth splashing a bit of extra cash. Super pleased and hope we’ll be back for another special occasion soon!More
