Last week we had fantastic dinner at Pani’s Café celebrating my friends 25th   birthday and we all absolutely loved the food here. Everything was delicious and tasted really fresh. Will certainly return.

Very friendly, well priced delicious Italian food. No pizza. Excellent friendly service and lovely wine and atmosphere. Like a little taste of Italy.

Have visited twice recently, early evening and really enjoyed both visits. Staff give a nice friendly welcome and provide first class service. The food is good and there is a strong European atmosphere which gives the venue a nice feeling. Friends go there and I will be there again soon I hope. Great to visit, Thank you

Although we had not booked staff were able to offer table for two until 6.30 pm which was ideal as we had Theatre tickets and wanted to eat before show We shared a marvellous antipasti which included prawn muscle ham sun dried tomatoe etc then both of us had sausage with pasta in tomatoe sauce plus a bottle of house... They've stripped the plaster off the brick and put in new lights, so the place is unrecognisable from a year ago, and now quite beautiful, including the toilets! We shared a swordfish bruschetta as a starter, wow , never had swordfish so well cooked or so delicious-£5.95! Then we had casarecce with chicken breast and tiger prawns in a chilli... More

Recently visited the restaurant with relatives from Newcastle who use the restaurant, we weren't disappointed! Food, service and ambience were all very good and at a reasonable price. Great find and would use again.

Good honest Italian food at very reasonable prices, all family members and the service and warmth received was fantastic. Its more a café style place with... More

Visited late afternoon on a rainy Saturday and it was still really busy despite it being way past lunchtime. We didn't have a reservation but they had tables. We both had garlic bread to start and it was lovely. Followed by extremely tasty mains that were just amazing! And a decent portion too. I also had a chocolate fudge cake... More

If we lived in the city I'm afraid I'd be here every week. Went for early dinner on Saturday. As busy as ever and the same lovely welcome. We waited at the bar for five minutes til our table was ready - well, we were early. Ordered drinks while we checked out the specials board and the menu. The whole... More

Called in with friends two weeks ago for lunch. Staff weren't very friendly. One waiter kept walking up and down past our table the whole time we were there, which was so annoying! made us feel we were being hurried even though the place was empty! Only one person enjoyed their meal, the others said their food was either bland... More
