If there were any good points about this restaurant they were totally negated by the food and a restaurant is all about food. We ordered lemon sole and were presented with a flatfish resembling a flounder I've caught over the years from the banks of the Tyne even though one of those would have looked more presentable than this sorry... Good food, lovely old church building. A little expensive but a nice meal with friendly helpful staff.

We have always enjoyed the food here and this visit was no exception, albeit it was rather strange that a restaurant specialising in mussels had run out of mussels! So I had to change... More

This used to be my favourite restaurant in Gosforth so after living abroad for a few years it was top of my list when I got back to Gosforth. Unfortunately, while we've been away it's standards have slipped. At prime dining time on Saturday it wasn't even half full and there were plenty of staff ion hand but the service... More

Have been to this restaurant four times and can't fault it. The food is great and staff very friendly. Lovely ambiance in a former church. When on our first visit it was called Loch Fyne. Now it's Loch Fyne Fisheries. Very confusing maybe there are two Tripadvisor options...

This was the second time my wife and I have dined at this restaurant. As on the previous occasion we were staying overnight in Newcastle. Despite being spoiled for choice in the city centre we wanted to return to Loch Fyne. The main reason, I think, was because the last time we dined there, even though the restaurant is best... More
