This is the second time we've been here and I don't know why it was a year between visits. It's the best place to go for a steak in the West Midlands area, given not only the choice of cuts but also the bread of cut, especially the speciality breads such as Dexters. The turf n surf was excellent and... More

Chose to eat at Anderson's with my partner during a night out in Birmingham and we were not not disappointed! Our table was booked for 9:30 and I was worried that we would be in the restaurant eating alone and it would feel cold and empty but this was not the case, the atmosphere was warm and cosy and the... This is undoubtedly a destination restaurant for steak lovers (other meats are available) and judging by the pretty near full occupancy on a cold January Thursday evening, there are plenty of people prepared to seek out this underground bistro-style location just off St Paul's Square. Service is pleasant and efficient whilst the Côte de Boeuf for two people was cooked... More

This was our second time at Andersons and we had a great meal once again. We started with olives and bread with roasted garlic......beautiful. I had moules and my Wife had parfait, both very nice. For mains we had sirloin steak and surf and turf. We were too stuffed for desert. We had a couple of bottles of wine and... More

Visited Anderson's with 5 friends from work for a 30th birthday meal. Many of the attendees are currently on slimming world. Food was well presented and the atmosphere was good. Service was also great. Andersons were happy to provide small tweaks to food to accommodate the diets and provided the birthday girl with a special dessert and candle. Would definitely... More

Went for lunch to Andersons on 3 occasions within a space of a week. Had steak twice ,fillet on the bone ,sirloin and on the final visit the fish for two. Have to say each visit the service was consistently good with just about the right amount of deference and asking of how we were getting on. The food with... More

This is by far our favourite place to eat steak. We have eaten at other notable steak restaurants, Miller and Carter, Marco Pierre, Fiesta Del Asado etc etc, but Anderson's smashes them all in terms of quality, flavour, choice, service and ambience in the restaurant. VERY well priced and excellent value for money when considering the quality and choice available.... More

Went for a family meal to celebrate my birthday. 2 adults and 2 children. Those who know me would know that I have eaten a LOT of steak! My desert island dinner. I had the 18oz Dexter sirloin on the bone and I have to admit that it was quite probably the finest steak I have ever eaten. A combination... More

We spent a fabulous evening at Anderson's Bar & Grill, which is tucked away on St Paul's Square in a converted cellar. The modern yet rustic interior gave a lovely ambience, and the tables were nicely spaced out. We arrived early and had a few cocktails in the bar area before sitting down in the main part of the restaurant.... More

Situated on St Pauls Church square, Andersons Bar and Grill is found in the interesting surroundings of former 18th century cellars. However this restaurant is as far from a dingy basement bar as it is possible to be lush, sophisticated dcor brings light and space to the brick arched room, changing displays of art is displayed on the walls and theres a definite buzz to the atmosphere. With a dedication to providing great value food in a relaxed setting along with top quality service, Andersons Bar and Grill is already making its mark on the local dining scene. The food, sourced locally is of course hearty grill fayre but presented with a touch of class so even old favourites such as Barnsley chop or grilled plaice are actually rather special.
