Visited around 10am for breakfast with a friend. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good choice of food and all cooked beautifully. A perfect morning! Thank you!

As an elderly couple who visit "The Plough" usually twice a week for lunch we suppose we are to be considered as "regulars"?Some reviewers seem to think that we therefore receive preferential treatment from the staff? In answer to that I would just say that it...More

Really good pizza and veggie burgers. The environment is really nice and the staff is really polite. The place is nicely decorated and it is not too noise. Perfect for a evening drink with a good chat.

I've never seen any dogs in there to be honest. Doubt it but contact the pub directly worth checking out.

hi adrian, I am a UK barista judge and 15yr+ visitor to the Plough and am flabbergasted by your review detailing the coffee experience. I accept your review as being honest by what you saw, but is it factually correct? Are you referring to espresso or filter coffee? The espresso coffee is provided by hasbean on a slayer machine - it's speciality coffee and experience that you won't find in many pubs in the uk and is of a consistently high standard. The recent filter addition is unusual to find at such a high level in a pub - I visited today and would compare the quality to that I have seen in the best cafes London, Melbourne or elsewhere. Obviously I can't comment on whether there was milk available for your visit, but I have always found the staff to be super friendly and if asked, will remedy any problems (such as milk shortage) in service on the spot. I am not in anyway connected to the pub or the coffee providers, but am a regular visitor. The review you gave is not representative of the experience I see on a weekly basis. Did you raise your concern at the time or just post the review whilst still obviously upset? I see your other reviews are balanced so am genuinely interested to hear whether you believe this review still resonates. best, tony.

No they don't have a car park, but there is one less than a minutes walk away, behind the pub opposite.
