We visited on Saturday when over in Birmingham to see family. Having chosen a late (9pm booking) I was surprised to be seated at a table for two tucked away in the bar area, however, this suited us just fine and is not a complaint as we enjoyed the quiet setting. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything was flavoured very... More

Came here with a few friends in December and will definitely return. As other people have said, it's a house converted into a restaurant but without taking away the charm of the original house. As it was Christmas, the front room looked like a scene from a Christmas card - big settees and a lovely Christmas tree in the bay... More

Friendly barman set the tone for this very nice evening with friends at the Blue Piano. The building is full of Victorian character, and the service is genuine and enthusiastic. I've never really eaten Malaysian food before, but the Singapore carrot cake starter and Lamb Mee Goreng were really delicious; lovely balance of quite strong flavours, interesting and very satisfying.... Food: (5) great actually. No issues. Authentic taste, decent portion sizes and the presentation is on par. The lunch 1,2,3 course options is what keeps us going back. The rest is a work in progress: Atmosphere and decor is a big mix of everything. Too busy, different styles, different rooms/dining areas/garden. Want to be able to say unique but it... More

My friend and I booked a table so we could listen to jazz. The band was ok, but not quite what we expected in that it was not playing more than they did playin the advertised time slot of 7-9. The food and service however were great. Staff very accommodating and attentive. Food choices were varied on an Asian theme... More

My wife and I stayed here and after a hard day walking around the NEC wanted a wind down drink. The bar is chilling and welcoming as were the staff. We intended wandering in towards the city/canals but a look at the varied and interesting Asian menu together with a quick look at TripAdvisor (4+ stars) suggested that we didn't... More

Sort of an odd combo; an Asian style restaurant that caters to Jazz music on weekends. . . but it works!! Service and food were outstanding and the décor is a bit funky. I'll be back.

A lovely find with an a range or oriental options including Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine. The food was beautifully served and equally delicious. The lunchtime menu was limited but had choices to suit all. The desserts looked lovely but really there was no room.

Have been here several times for lunch or evening drinks. Love the food especially the carrot cake. The place is elegant with a quirkiness to it, and has a lovely garden area. It's been a while since I tried the cocktails but last time I had them they were exceptionally good. Only reason not five stars is sometimes when they... More
