I visited on a Friday lunchtime with a party of 10. There was a disproportionate wait for the table to be served. The children got their food relatively quickly but trickled out very slowly. The wait was borderline unacceptable. My food, when it arrived, was...More

Visited here on a nice sunny Friday afternoon and it was nice and presentable. Did not order any food but had a drink. Nice safe car parking at the Lordswood Road entrance and disabled access to the Hagley Road entrance. I would recommend this place.

Don't let the exterior fool you, as this is a really impressive pub with modern touches and friendly attentive staff. The menu is varied but well priced and there is a good selection of wines. We had the roast and it was very impressive; nice...More

Description
The King's Head is located on the junction between the Hagley Road and Bearwood Road in Harborne, Birmingham. This 19th century pub has undergone major refurbishment and is now a functional, stylish gastro-pub. With original features such as exposed brick walls and original tiles installed in 1906 by Owen and Ward Architects. The King's Head is perfect for a 'boogie' on a Saturday night or a chilled out coffee on a Sunday morning! Everything on the menu is classic gastro fare done well, freshly prepared and cooked in house, such as the Roast Lamb Rump with Chorizo and Sweet Potato Dauphinoise, or the Seared Seabass with Nicoise Salad.
