Had a lovely stroll along the canal then back for a ploughman lunch. Weather was warm enough to sit out side. Had a pleasant chat with the owners of the Cheese boat which was moored alongside the pub. Ploughmans lunch arrived. It was brilliant. Fresh eggs and amazing pickle. Can recommend 😀. As always a great atmosphere in a proper... More

The beer and food is usually very good here but unfortunately the bar manageress needs lessons in customer relations, her attitude is not good, whereas the other staff are friendly and efficient particularly Natalie the restaurant manageress.

It was great to get together with old friends in the atmosphere of the private dining and thoroughly enjoyed sampling several of the new dishes on the new spring menu. As always excellent food, good value and friendly and efficient service. Would recommend the pub more highly but then I wouldn't be able to get in!

Very nice tiny little pub, nice food, lovely, very friendly staff, a real step back in time to how pubs used to be in the UK. Allowing dogs into the bar is a bonus. (note: due to the size, prams/buggies are not allowed inside the pub) Lovely views and seats outside right next to the canal, very clean and well... More

I have eaten at the Greyhound many times, at lunch and for dinner, I have eaten down stairs in the bar and upstairs in the private rooms and I have never had a bad meal. Staff are friendly and helpful, good honest food at reasonable rates, give it a go, you will not regret it.

We went for a meal on Friday night, where it was understandably busy. They seated me and my 5 guests upstairs in the most gorgeous private dining room. It was comfortable and allowed us to talk to each other easily. The service was fantastic and we were never waiting for someone to take our drinks orders. The food, as always,... More

Absolutely marvellous! Comfortable environment with happy atmosphere. Advise any body to visit either for food or a drink. Cabaret carvery Sunday dinner in the marquee is a most.
