I think this place is absolutely stunning. Not many people know about it, so it rarely gets busy. The food is lovely and there is good choice and it is also reasonably priced.

Lovely location and atmospheric. Simple menu but all fresh and tasty. Friendly and helpful staff. Introduced to a Coventry God Cakes and fell in love.

A friend told us of the Godiva restaurant and how you can enjoy a meal midday. We called last week and were not disappointed, wonderful medieval surroundings most helpful staff, and a good wholesome meal, served as a carvery. The restaurant was vey busy, no doubt due to having a first class reputation. Would recommend the Godiva to all who... More

After visiting Coventry cathedral we popped in here for a tea and cake, price very reasonable. Lovely unique building, staff friendly, good selection of cooked meals and snacks. Very charming and well worth a visit

When we entered, the restaurant was totally empty, but we decided to stay because the atmosphere was cosy and there was a Christmas tree decorated in the corner. The food was not too good and the service was poor, but the prices are lower than other places in Coventry.

I have eaten here many times and the food and ambience never fail to excite me. The cafe is in the 14th century vaults of the guildhall of St Mary where Mary Queen of Scots was kept prisoner. On this visit I had the sweet chilli chicken salad which was excellent and a bargain at £6.99. On Wednesdays there is... More
