The service was very good. We didn't wait long for our food and drinks. The food in my eyes was very over priced and slightly bland. Would I go back. No but that's my opinion

This restaurant is situated in a very old building and this adds to its charm with different shaped rooms. From arriving we were made to feel welcome and offered drinks. After a short wait we were shown to our charming table and from then the service was seamless. I ordered a main course which I felt was a little bland.... More

Delightful quirky decor, attentive and friendly staff. One of the best Indian meals I have had outside India. very reasonably priced for the quantity and quality of the food, we wouldn't hesitate to go there again.

A group of friends and I dined there last Friday night but didn't enjoy the evening. For the £18 price tag the tandoori sizzler was pretty bland and not a hearty portion you would normally expect. Also selling bottles of Budweiser which were 300ml from a multi-pack not for resale. The licensed measure is a 330ml bottle which surely isn't allowed.we had... Ok. So I read good reviews and had been recommended this place by a friend so decided to finally try this place. Didn't book as it was on a Tuesday night. Yet on arrival was told there would be a wait. Understandable.... If there wasn't four tables available. After 10 mins of staring at the empty table, we were eventually... More

I was looking forward to trying this local restaurant as the menu looked interesting and innovative. Having booked a table in advance for 14 adults last Friday night, we arrived on time and promptly sat down. To our disappointment our group had been split up over two tables as the restaurant’s layout is not designed to accommodate large parties. If... More

Came here on highly recommendation as I was visiting family, and having dinner with my cousin and her fiancée . The service is first class such a hidden gem this restaurant is tucked away in Spon street. Food is amazing we had a selection of main courses between us and I tried the tandoori duck breast to my amazement it... More

Where do I start... First of all we waited forty five minutes before we were asked for our order. When my starter arrived it was cold, so I sent it back. No apology from the waiter. The main course (when it eventually arrived) was so bland and didn't taste freshly cooked, with the sauce being of similar consistency to wallpaper paste.... More

This was my first time at the Turmeric Gold Indian restaurant and I'm afraid will be my last. The whole experience was awful, bland cold food, terrible service and overpriced sums this place up in one. The Budweiser bottle beer they are serving are multipack bottles which clearly says on the label not to be sold separately. When we complained to... More

Nice cosy restaurant however the service is not great, food on the other hand is superb , had a kebab starter which was lush, well presented, mains was chicken bhuna again it was very nice, service in this place lets it down big time, I hope the management reviews this because it won't attract a second visit to this place
