That's the worst curry I've had ever, taste less, chips were cold and the man bread was like eating a carpet rug, it must be 15yrs since we came here and that's when we thought it was too dear hence 15yrs. It's still too dear...More

A very tasty curry in a traditional environment with friendly and helpful staff. There are a wide range of dishes available, in a relaxing atmosphere with great service. We'll definitely be back

Was a bit disappointed last time I visited here, but it seems that was just an outlier! Service from all the guys was excellent as usual; very friendly, humorous, and well-mannered. Food was delicious as usual, and the naans are still amazing.

There are a number of very good curries to be had in Coventry but this is our favourite. We've been visiting for the best part of a decade. Always excellent food and a warm welcome. Where food is concerned, trust us fatties.

What a great curry house, service is always so friendly and the food great. Decided to eat in rather than have takeaway and it was definitely a good decision. The choice of food is fairly extensive, serves all the standard 'british' curry dishes as well...More

Have been customers for many years, but drifted away as felt food had become a cliche and not great value for money. We should not have returned, food was very disappointing - 3 different dishes, tasted samey, dull & heavy; no atmosphere. Needs a refresh...More

We visited for a birthday treat, but are regulars principally because the food, service and ambience is great, not too expensive but genuine quality. Staff are really friendly, often busy at weekends but still have time to personally meet greet and say goodnight. Nice place...More

Meaning 'Golden Village' this name originated from the capital city of Bangladesh, Dhaka. Sonargaon has been based in Coventry since February '86 and it has since been an Indian restaurant with a difference, emerging onto the culinary scene as the only genuine Bangladeshi restaurant in the city.
