The Stansfield arms has become a firm favourite of ours, whether we go as couple or for a family gathering it is always first class and this occasion was no different! We went as a party of 10 for my sister in laws birthday, everyone...More

Food and drinks great but the interior needs some TLC. The bar area and tables appear clean but the carpeting is worn and tatty looking. The gents toilet is dated and not in keeping with the rest of the place. Everything is clean and should...More

The reason for the poor rating is the cleanliness of the interior of the pub. There is a damp unclean smell in the bar area. Traditional decor inside which is fine but the carpets need replacing and the whole place needs a good deep clean....More

Visited here for a drink with my wife and the place is really nice. Beer ok and the food looks really good. Unfortunately the charm was let down by the gents toilet (one of my benchmarks). While perfectly clean it had a cheap and nasty...More

Went on an evening in a large party to celebrate my sisters birthday. Went the previous week, three of us at lunchtime. Excellent service and good food on both occasions.

The Stansfield Arms dates back to 1543 and is a beautiful beamed historical pub. There are lots of different areas with varying ceiling heights, nook and crannies and not a straight line! It is Family run, our crown and glory. We serve good homemade food all day, every day and have real ales as well as a good wine list.Set in the idyllic Apperley Bridge area, near the River Aire and open countryside it is popular with walkers, cyclists, dog owners all year round. Perfect in the summer on our very large south facing patio area and cosy in the winter by our open fires. We have a large car park.We are famous for our award winning early bird, £12.95 For two courses off the main menu and our Sunday lunches that starts from £9.95.
