Looking for somewhere to eat before going to the Leeds Grand Theatre we found Nash's just around the corner. We both ordered fish chips and mushy peas and found it exactly as you would want. Lovely fish with crisp batter, hot chips and peas. It is very filling so we couldn't manage any pudding. I'd recommend it.

If you've never been to Nash's in Leeds it's well worth a visit. It is tucked way in the Tudor buildings at the bottom of Merrion Street with a Take Away to the rear and another entrance to the restaurant. I don't eat fish and chips that often but would always come to Nash's as the fish is good, and... More

I can't believe I have lived in Leeds for over 53 years and never been here before. I started with a prawn cocktail, straight back to the 70's eh! Okay so it's not haute cuisine but it was a great start. No probs from me. I went for the classic haddock, chips & mushy peas, a match made in heaven.... More

4 of us went recently before seeing a show at the Grand. We only ended up there because everywhere else was full due to a show at the Arena, but what a great place! Service was down to earth and friendly, food was good value and very tasty - especially the fish and chips. Next time we're looking for somewhere... More

We've searched high and low for a decent fish and chip shop in the city centre, and Nash's is exactly that. Would recommend.

Not been here for years. Yes it's a bit tired, yes it's old fashioned and... yes, the fish and chips were as great as they always were. Lovely fish nicely battered and the chips were excellent. Service was faultless.

I had never been before, but my friend and I were going to the theatre and she used to go there. there are lots of stairs to get to the restaurant It was fairly busy, we order the classic haddock and I was pleasantly surprised, the fish was in a a very light batter, the chips were crispy on outside... My family used to regularly visit this restaurant. We hadn't been for a few years, so we decided to go before the Theatre one evening, just like we used to. The building hasn't changed and the restaurant still has that olde Tudor style that is part of its charm. The food was average. This place is badly let down by... More

Came here today for the first time in years, in fact both my husband and I thought it had closed. My husband being a Leeds Loiner used to come here all the time many many years ago. He said it was always packed out, well I can assure you that today it was extremely quiet. New on the menu was... More
