The food here is great! They have a very large selection of Persian food to choose from. I've been 3 times now and haven't been disappointed. The food is packed with flavour and the portions are huge, so you will go home satisfied!

Saturday evening tea. Starters are generous and fresh. Really good hummus and a very large fresh Greek salad. Both with really good flat bread. Main was a mix of kebabs with bread, rice and chips. All tasted great, cooked over charcoal, but too much to finish. Definitely go again but be more cautious about how much I order!

Mixed starter to share was a revelation, as was the bread. Mains are served with generous portion of rice. Food is not spicy but aromatic. Alcoholic drinks available but a limited choice. Restaurant was a bit cold , could have used some heating.

I love going to Safran been there over years of visiting Leeds. Its in town so will drop in there to meet and old friend or on a date. I prefer vegetarian food. So I am not fussed on Persian mains. But Safran does an amazing starter to share so I just get that and share it between two instead... More

This was my suggestion of venue so glad everybody enjoyed it. The place has undergone major renovations in the last couple of years and is completely different from when we first visited. They now have a licence and are able to serve wine with the food. Opted for a Persian dish of lamb which was exceptionally good but they have... More

This Persian restaurant is like porthole not only to the Middle East but to all the great meals you've had on holiday in Greece and turkey. That's not to say it's not authentically Persian, it is but these places are so very similar when it comes to cuisine. The portions are absolutely massive! I had the lamb starter and my... More
