They gave us prossecco upon arrival, gave us ice cream and biscuits after our curry, all free and without asking. Overall great food , great atmosphere and terrific staff which made our new... More

a decent takeaway... except for two things. The food took almost 2 hours to be delivered and when it arrived was almost cold. Also, we ordered saag paneer which when arrived was melted cheese rather than real paneer.

Staff were trying to be friendly, unfortunately the food was that bad it let the venue down as a whole. Watered down curries and very strange pickle trays. If your looking for somewhere overpriced and that's nothing like an Indian curry house look no further. Won't be recommending or returning.

They cancelled my order without notifying me or telling me why. The money left my account still. It has now been credited to my Hungry House account rather than refunded. Really poor customer service.

Went on a Sunday at 5pm so very quiet but the waiter was delightful, very welcoming, funny and charming. Not the best food but lovely service!

By far the worst curry I have ever tasted, Hardly any chicken in it and far to much undercooked onion (see pic) Service was the slowest I have ever come across. In there for over 2 hours with empty glasses. Asked 3 times if I could get the bill. I would never go here again even if it was free.... More

Thought main courses lacked flavour and spice. My Chicken Tikka Balti was bland and tasted of lemon. Two of my colleagues also felt the same, the ginger dish lacked ginger and the other dish was described as not very spicy even though meant to be medium spice.Very disappointing.

Situated on the rather swish York Place, close to Leeds mainline railway station, Miah’s Place is an Indian restaurant with a wow factor. Right from the outset you really know that you’re in for something special – the restaurant is set within one of the old red brick buildings, behind wrought iron low fencing, its subtle signage indicating that Miah’s Kitchen, a small scale chain making waves throughout Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, is perhaps a little more special than your average Indian eatery. Through the portico-ed front door you’ll enter a stylish dining room furnished in an unusual Art Deco inspired style, with ball topped lamps, sensuous lines and low slung leather seating, all in low key tones. Miah’s Kitchen offers an extensive menu of old Indian favourites, ranging from tandoori dishes to biryanis and baltis as well as a good collection of specialties created especially for the restaurant, using contemporary and traditional techniques. Surprisingly affordable, Miah’s Kitchen provides an upmarket take on Indian dining without the price tag.
