While I don't think The Palace is the great pub it was a few years ago, it is still well worth a visit. Things I don't like about it - The gaudy outdoor paint job, the terrible seating, a TV screen which dominates a large...part of the pub, too many beers 'coming soon' rather than available. Things I do like - There's generally at least one decent cask ale on, the outdoor seating area is good in summer, it's neither full of yuppies nor scumbags. Food is OK, but not great value. This pub could be so much better.More

Pubs are a funny thing when you are a long way from home - they can be a bit 'little britain' intimidating outside of city centre locations. Staff can make a huge difference here and at The Palace I felt like I could have been...a regular despite my obvious non-Leeds accent! A friendly hello as we entered the bar set the scene for some easy banter balanced just right, never intruding on our private conversation but ready when we approached the bar. Knowledgeable as well as friendly we were easily 'sold' into trying a couple of different drinks, personally I found a new 'favourite' as a result. This has become a bit of a 'go to' as a frequent traveller to Leeds.More

Called in for a quick drink. This is a grubby old pub in Leeds city centre. A pint of IPA and a large G&T. They charged £10:45.! This is Leeds not LondonMore

Went to watch the Lions game and was good positions to watch the game and not at all crowded. Was a really pleasant place to go for beer. Good range of drinks too and the bar staff were very friendly.
