My husband and I popped in here to refuel after spending a day walking around the abbey and surrounding areas. They had a great selection of homemade cakes, teas and coffees. Unfortunately they had sold out of all their tasty sounding sandwiches but the cakes more than made up for that! There is some seating outside but inside is so... More

Came in after a 4 mile walk from the train station as there was rain in the air. Lovely little place across the road from the abbey. I had a cappuccino and a piece of chocolate fudge cake. Both were very nice.

We have been to the cafe before but we are aware of the cafe becoming so noisy and full of child minders therefore our group of relatives could not hear our conversation and the table was so sticky!!! Along with other people we had to leave after our initial cup of tea , not very clean and full of prams... More

I cannot rate this tea room too highly. The staff are marvellous, excellent friendly people who serve delicious food with fine trimmings. We had soup and sandwich which was delicious. I rate this place as a great place to spend a day at. The abbey is just across the road and the museum itself is great especially for young kids.... More

The sandwiches are freshly made and come with a small salad and a few Crisps and are excellent. The food other people were eating also looked good. The setting is also part of the experience

After a walk around the Abbey, this was a lovely place to stop for a cuppa and a fresh scone. Warm and welcoming and quirky features.

The on site victorian museum is excellent. With shops houses pub and street. Each room contains old items set up to look like real victorian rooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and the family enjoyed Santa. Did not use the Cafe. Well worth a visit.

We had such a nice time here with our little babies. Food is simple but good. We didn't feel rushed and were greeted with big smiles. A walk round the grounds after really topped it off

Original old shops and contents, cobbled street, children's toys. Full of nostalgia. Also story of Abbey and area.
