Best tapas food around, tastes as good as the tapas you have in Spain. Something for everyone, lovely cosy feel to the restaurant and wonderful atmosphere. Would 100% recommend.

Wooden benches and stools with shabby thin cushions do not make for a comfortable dining experience. They may fit in with the rustic decor but do not encourage you to linger (perhaps that's the point). Food average ranging from heavy-handed crude flavourings to rather bland...More

Always feel so lucky to have this gem locally. Just great food and a lovely house red. Can’t afford to do it all the time but not a bad way to spend a Wednesday at 6 o’clock!

I have been here twice now, both for special occasions and have not been let down. The waiting staff are always there to help you with your choices, it’s quite funny to feel you are being marked on your ordering skills! The food is always...More

My wife and I went to this restaurant on the recommendation of friends and work colleagues. I can only assume we either ordered all the worst options on the tapas menu or that we were there on an off night. Whatever the case, the food...More

We came as a group of 6 for my birthday celebrations on a thursday evening. The food was so nice and the waiter helped us pick out how much food we needed...they even provided a complimentary birthday cake! I will definitely eat here again

Food a bit patchy. Likewise the service - I know 'tapas style', but needs more co-ordination. One of our main courses came about 20 minutes after the rest of the food had been eaten, so the person had to eat by himself with everybody watching....More

Visited on New Year’s Eve for a drink and a meal. The bar is small and can be very cramped when busy, but the restaurant downstairs is bigger with a great atmosphere. The food is excellent and the wine good too. We really enjoyed it

We went for dinner on Saturday we were lucky to get a table as the place is very small and popular. They accommodate us well and we enjoyed a lovely romantic dinner. Wine was gorgeous and food was good. The menu isn’t up to date...More

We discovered El Bareto a few months ago and since we’ve been visiting regularly. The wine selection is great and food is good too I would only suggest that they improve slightly the menu (maybe replacing a few dishes). Apart from that a great little...More

No I'm sorry, it has very steep stairs to get to the restaurant downstairs. You can ask to eat upstairs as it has wheelchair access but its very busy!

Tapas from my Grannies Recipes in a hand built bar and restaurant we made ourselves. We like to think we have brought a little bit of Spain, a traditional taverna, with us to Leeds. With Live acoustic music every Tuesday in our cosy downstairs restaurant, and music through out the week. Pablo and Yeyo offer as authentic Tapas as it is possible to find in a unique little restaurant. You can relax in the bar after a hard days work, or maybe outside and enjoy a glass of specially selected Spanish wine.
