In Salisbury for the evening yesterday, decided to call in to The Cloisters for a quick drink - DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT A WARM WELCOME - grumpy, miserable bar man. Won't go there again.

In walking distance of the city centre, this wonderful pub is very cosy and welcoming. The staff are very friendly and the food is great. I would certainly recommend this pub restaurant.

An oasis of calm when shopping in Salisbury. Good food and good selection of ales and always made to feel welcome.

Our tour guide suggested this location. As Americans, we always find pubs interesting locations because we really don't have that many locations like them in the US. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and thought the wait staff was very kind. We had never heard of the term "carvery" but my two sons (one 26 & one 17) enjoyed it very... More

All the staff here are lovely, welcoming and friendly and they do the best roasts in all of Salisbury! Soooo much food and all a really tasty quality and amazingly priced! We visited this pub for a Sunday Carvery, however just as we were finishing our meal we were told that they needed our table. (it was a pub table and not a specific restaurant table) I looked around at the full pub and asked where we should sit but the man that tried to move us couldnt come up with... More

Just outside of the main shopping area and therefore quiet during the normal busy period of lunch time on a Saturday. Beautiful old building with friendly hospitality and great food. We had the doorstop sandwiches made from very fresh bread and stacked with filling. Food came out quick too. Highly recommend it.

There are plenty of public houses in Salisbury, Wiltshire but his establishment was on our short list, having done a bit of pre-visit research. The pub is conveniently located in the city not too far from the impressive Cathedral. The pub is claimed to be 14th Century and I am sure it is but clearly there have been many changes... More

My husband and I were in Salisbury for work and went to The Cloisters with his coworkers as it came highly recommended. I enjoyed my beef and ale pie. It reminded me of beef stew with a flaky, pastry crust on top. My husband thought his fish and chips were ok, but we had better in London. Enjoyed the selection... More
