Went there while on a drive to the South West after we found that the intended lunch break pub appeared to have closed. A quick phone call at 13,20 to next dog friendly pub westwards, established the Malet Arms open but kitchen closing at 1400....More

We visited The Mallet as a table of 6, absolutely charming pub! Hadn't been before but will definitely be returning. Very friendly staff and locals. Slight wait for food, but it was quite busy. Food was very tasty, the Mallet burger was divine.

This is a very nice old county pub with plenty of charm, locals are really friendly, food good, with a splendid menu for all tastes, with plenty of beer and wine options.

We have visited the Mallet on several occasions. The food is second to none, the staff are fantastic, and it always has a great atmosphere. I highly recommend the Mallet Burger, it's amazing.

The Malet is a lovely local county pub. Excellent homemade food. Gorgeous deserts. It's our local and we've never had a bad meal there. It is highly recommended especially after a long country walk.

So, I have been in for a drink a few times in the past and have always been tempted by the ever changing chalk board menu. I'm so glad I did. My partner and I went on a Saturday night and I rather foolishly failed...More

Went for dinner with four female friends. My starter of salt and pepper squid was lovely, as was my spicy pork belly main. Friends enjoyed the soup, terrine, scampi and liver. But the veggie main course, involving pastry and asparagus, appeared with only a tiny...More

We visited on a Sunday lunch time and chose the roast (Top Rump). It was possibly the worst roast I have had of late and I eat out regularly. The beef was very, very rare and needed quite a bit of fat to be trimmed...More

Have just enjoyed another excellent visit to the Malet. Meet and eat there regularly with friends and we have never been disappointed. Food has always been excellent, choice is good, puds are fantastic too. Good atmosphere and obliging staff. Definitely one of my favourites!

This is a quiet pub in a sleepy, small village. The food and service were good. We enjoyed the food and drink in the lovely sunshine of the weekend. We both had Haunch of Venison roast dinners. The roast was huge and neither of us...More

The ladies toilet is quite small, I don't think it would be easy access with a wheelchair, however, their may be other facilities available. I would suggest phoning the pub, if you haven't already.
