When we arrived there was no greeting from the landlord. He barely spoke and replied only 'on the board' when asked for a menu - he obviously did not want to 'chat' to casual customers as he was very pleasant to a group of locals...More

It was my first old English pub, the experience was very nice 😊The ambience was so good, the food was yum and the drinks were very good. I ordered for a regular glass of cocktail, they gave me a pitcher , I couldn't finish it...More

Four of us called in on way home from Sailsbury for food. A pub with a nice comfy feel, lovely toilets, good choice of beers, great food and friendly owners. Would definitely recommend if in the area or for a drive out to.

We have now eaten here on several occasions, the steak burgers are one of the best burgers I have ever eaten, possibly the pink Himalayan salt gives it the edge. Friendly service, good beer and very reasonably priced wine.
