Once Canada became ‘green listed’ for travel to the UK, we couldn’t wait to make a quick day trip to Eton and pop in to the Crown & Cushion. While the world may have changed, the Crown & Cushion remains timeless with it’s welcoming pub,...garden, and wonderful team. We’ll be checking in as guests next month (November), and we can’t wait to return!More

We stayed here for 2 nights in a double room. The hotel is full of character and the staff are amazing, they couldn’t help enough. Great breakfast too. Would definitely come again. It’s also really close to everything.

Excellent central pub to stay overnight to visit Eton and Windsor. Close by to Windsor Castle, Eton College , shops, and the pub serves up amazing food and drinks. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I would totally recommend staying here.

We had a very pleasant stay here. The location is perfect, a few minutes walk to the centre of Windsor. We had a large en-suite room with a very comfortable bed, a very nice breakfast and the free parking is a bonus. The staff are...really friendly and to top it all off , I left a couple of items of clothing behind and they sent them on to me. Excellent service and thoroughly recommended!More

I haven't been in here for ages due to Lockdown and so decided to give it a go for a full meal. We all had their steak and Guinness pie served with mashed potatoes and peas. The pie was particularly good with thin pastry all...around and lots of tasty and tender meat inside. We sat in the pleasant beer garden for the first time.More

Stayed overnight to visit local attractions, free car park at the rear of the hotel was most welcome. We arrived early, but could leave car whilst visiting the area, note you must leave the carpark when checking out. The pub has been an inn since...the 1700's, and allegedly built from ships timbers, so expect wonky sloping floors and stairs. Our room had a small balcony sitting area, onto the high street which all added to the feel of the place. Good sized room, the ensuite was built on a step which you had to be careful at night, you could leave windows open at night and felt secure. Very friendly staff, good evening meal, good breakfast, however, our cooked breakfast was a bit oily for our liking. Would definetly stay here again.More

I stayed overnight here and for the price can't really fault it. Yes it's quirky (but it's over 400 years old and that adds character), yes it can be noisy (but they can't control the local residents or the Heathrow flight path, even the Queen...has to deal with that!), yes some of the breakfast is pre-cooked and re-heated and the rooms are best described as "basic". However, I'd like to point out what you get for less than £100 per night (versus the majority of Eton & Windsor which will set you back at least £200+ per night in peak season)... 1) a full cooked breakfast, along with toast, cereals, yoghurts, unlimited hot and cold drinks etc. all of which was perfectly acceptable quality and well presented 2) one of the best locations in the area, and just 3-4 minutes walk to Windsor Castle and 60 seconds walk to the pretty riverside 3) a site that is full of character with plenty of food & drink options in a true, traditional British pub 4) a clean room with all the facilities you need including en-suite bathroom, a comfy bed with lovely pillows, tea & coffee facilities and free wi-fi 5) private parking for residents...this is truly amazing for the area that is so tight on space And best of all, the staff I encountered from chef to breakfast staff to barman were all super friendly and lovely to chat with - a credit to the business For the price, this place is highly recommended :-)More
