Hi been many times over last few years and always good selection of honest good quality "English" food, as well as nice real ales. Good staff and nice seating arrangement i.e. Sofa by fire one end with table and chairs the other, even nice little patio area out back.

Went there on a Saturday evening with my friends and the place was packed! Fortunately, lovely waitress found us a small table by the door! We were quite lucky as some people had to leave or just grab a drink at the bar. Menu was simple which made our choice easy. I went for a burger which was quite good,... More

Dropped in for a beer after a visit to the Castle. It was a cold day and the fire was blazing and the room was very comfortable. The service was good and I was able to relax by the fire in a comfortable chair and read the paper. A very enjoyable hour spent after a long day at the castle

We have tried a few Windsor "eateries" and the Duchess of Cambridge was the poorest in terms of the food quality......although the quantities were generous

Hello An_Old_Burian I am very surprised to read your comments about our food, as they seem very out of odds with the many positive comments we receive on a regular basis. However that said, I apologise that on this occasion we failed to meet your expectations. Give me a call on 01753 864405 so we can find out what dishes... More

The best thing about the Duchess of Cambridge is its location, half way up the hill from Windsor and Eton Riverside station and a mere stone's throw from the castle entrance. Although from the outside it looks like a conventional drinking pub, one step inside and the sight of reserved tables and a sign requesting a wait before being shown... More

Service is nice and atmosphere is nice too. Good location as well. Unfortunately I chose the chicken and ham pie and whilst the pastry was nice there literally wasn't any filling. Couldn't find any ham at all and one 2 or 3 very very small pieces of chicken. Real shame as it looked the part. Wouldn't have it again as... More

We stopped in for a drink after a long day in Windsor. The pub was excellent with a great menu and plenty of beers ready to try. It is just across the street from Windsor Castle and while your enjoying your meal and or drink you can look across and relive your day at the castle.

As a local, I had often walked past the Duchess and always seen it very busy. On a hunch my partner and I decided to try what had been clearly rated "the best Sunday Lunch in the area" - we were not disappointed! I can imagine this place would be heaving in more favourable weather, but we were extremely lucky... More

It's a great place for meals or even hosting party's, the staff are always very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Foods great and there is also a great selection on beers, ales and spirits. One of my favourite places in Windsor.

Description
The Duchess of Cambridge officially opened on 21 June 2011 after an extensive refurbishment to ensure she was able to carry her Royal name with pride.

And in fact The Duchess of Cambridge pub in Windsor is the only pub in the whole of the world which has the name of the newest member of the Royal family.

Seating almost 120 customers and offering fantastic food, from breakfast through lunch, and on to dinner. Plus a drinks list to match every occasion, including fine wines and ales from our own Whole Hop Brewery in Hertford - The Duchess is the perfect pub for you to rest your Royal or not so Royal legs!

With The Duchess pub just across the road, or should we say cannonball shot away (!) From the Castle, it is a pub that will welcome you as a tourist to the town or as someone who lives and works within the lovely city of Windsor.

Freshly prepared for you at the time you order it. Yes, that is what we do at The Duchess. Guests of our lovely Windsor pub can relax as their food is prepared just they way they like it.

So if you are in need of a quick bite to eat and refreshment in Windsor then we are the perfect stop. And if the clock isn't an issue then we have a selection of starters, mains and desserts to keep you occupied and off the streets for a little while longer.

We look forward to seeing you
