A 13th Century public house serving quality cask ales and fresh home cooked food daily. Set on the edge of the Cotswolds, in a country village, the pub itself oozes character with flagstone flooring, Cotswold stone and real log fires. Why not enjoy the relaxed, friendly atmosphere with something from our extensive menu or one of our specials boards. We have two lovely restaurant rooms, and you can also eat in our bar areas. Our coffee shop aspect allows everyone to enjoy our cosy pub all day long with a warm drink and a delicious slice of cake. Thatched Tavern is a dog-friendly pub, and our guests are welcome to eat in the bar areas with their four-legged friends. We host regular events including…

Whilst spending a short break in the area we visited for lunch. We were so impressed with the quality and cooking of the ingredients that we returned the following evening.
Both times were equally enjoyable and the staff were all excellent. We had our dogs...with us in the bar area and they were given treats and lots of fuss too.
A special thank you to Kim who was our lunchtime waitress.More
We are fortunate to live locally so visit The Thatched Tavern regularly. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly to both humans and dogs.
Head Chef Lee has formulated a varied and unique menu with a specials board that is regularly changed. The previous...review that referred to ‘McDonalds fries’ is both inaccurate and unfair! The rosemary chips are lovely.
Recent refurbishment has made the pub a clean, cheerful and lovely environment to enjoy either drinks, a meal or one of the monthly quiz nights/open mics etc.
Our favourite pub!More
We have eaten at the Thatched Tavern a number of times since the new owners took over and have always been impressed but we hadn’t tried a Sunday lunch until yesterday. My wife had the pork roast and I had the beef. Both meals were...absolutely beautiful and we will definitely be returningMore
Fair today this was a disappointing visit. Living reasonably close and eating out on average a couple of times a week we are always looking for new venues. Nicely decorated pub with friendly staff and a nice beer garden so no issues there. As already...mentioned the staff were helpful and friendly.
The food ordered was smoked Haddock fish cakes with fries and salad. Fish cakes were fine but the fries were frankly out of the McDonald’s menu and a poor salad. Overall though ok, just. The second item was chicken Kiev filled with garlic butter. I emphasise filled as there turned out the very smallest amount concealed at the end so none of the garlic flavour plus the McDonald’s fries and miserly salad. Offered a free drink to compensate but we refused.
I’m sorry to say that we will not be back as there many venues in this area offering better food. I don’t think the owners will miss us as it seems to be fairly busy.More
Food was exceptional, so was the service and atmosphere, restaurant standard food in a lovely location.
We visited twice as a family of four, then again with friends and their children, we had a superb Sunday lunch, my favourite was the mussels.
Our boys even...got to meet the chef, who made them a delicious desert.
The Australian manager( so sorry I can't remember your name) was very knowledgeable about the wines, can't wait to come visit again.More
2 families, 4 adults and 3 kids, walk in only told there was no space, even though there was blatantly a table that would have sat us all and not reserved. Made to feel we were not welcome at all only 7.15pm. It was like...your not local so your not welcome! Very disappointed!!More

We are very sorry that you have had this experience at the Thatched Tavern. Our number one priority is customer experience from start to finish.
Unfortunately, over the last couple of days we have had some technical issues with equipment in the kitchen and were...More
What a lovely pub this is. Opened by the new landlords only 2 days before lockdown 2, it has survived and is clearly thriving. The decor is clean and bright, staff are friendly and welcoming, beer is well kept and the food is delicious and...excellent value. We enjoyed the Frito Misto and Risotto from the specials menu and both were freshly cooked and perfectly seasoned. Could have happily chosen anything from the excellent menu but sadly had no room for dessert. Will definitely return as this is so much better than most country pubs.More
