Thanks for squeezing us in at the last minute on Tuesday night. It was quiz night so it was loud and full of the younger generation. All well behaved tho'. Food was served fairly quickly and was reasonably priced and good to eat.

A straightforward menu, with very tasty food and good service, this is a no frills pub, but in a great location.

Read the good reviews - so booked dinner for two. Turned up (beware - parking can be a real issue if the free spaces at the pier are taken - public car park 400 yards away on the main road) and they had no bookings...for anyone - but plent of empty tables. Staff friendly and attentive. Table itself was clean. Decor shabby and cleanliness not much in evidence. The carpet on the stair leading to the loos was actually black with muck. Food menu was quite a bit different from that shown online - recent change of management May be the cause. Tomato soup - delicious Scampi and peas - fair enough for food out the freezer Wings - inedible. We like hot food but this was so spicy it burnt, and numbed our lips. We rubbed ice cubes on them to alleviate the discomfort! Left all but one. As “pub grub” this was middling. As the better class food trailed on the website, it was simply nowhere near up to scratch. Sorry guys - I’ve no doubt you tried, but this was a disappointing end to our day in your lovely town/city PS - the one thing we agree on with other reviews is the location. Lovely area next to the pier.More

We turned up early for our reservation - 7 people and a dog - but were welcomed in along with another large family group that had just arrived. The dog was given her own bowl of water and menus were brought over. We ordered just...after the other group so we knew there would be a wait for our food - we settled down and played Uno, we had arrived early anyway. The food did take a while but nothing outrageous - we were missing a burger though, not unexpected with the flurry of orders that had gone to the kitchen. A complimentary bowl of halloumi fríes was sent over in apology (delicious) and actually the burger wasn’t long after. All the food was well cooked and not rushed, we all enjoyed our meals and the halloumi fries meant that there was some Welsh steak burger left over for the dog! I enjoyed a very nice pint of local ale (I ordered a half but I was secretly glad they pulled a pint by mistake) and the bill was very reasonable. Highly recommended pub, especially as it is dog friendly which seems to be a rarity in North Wales. I did hear someone else complaining about their wait and the staff member said they were missing 50% of their team due to student holidays. Most hospitality venues are short of staff at the moment - we shouldn’t take it out on those who did turn up.More

Watched the football on big screens whist having a meal. Service a little slow but otherwise all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was very good. Worth a visit.

Great food and great service by a young energetic team. Burgers were great! Decent selection of real ale and beers. Didn’t stay but rooms looked nice from the outside. Great views of the pier.

Nice food, was a bit quiet when we came in but soon picked up with it being a Tuesday quiz night. Service a bit slow - could do with a few more staff on. Had to wait a while for the food to come. A...pleasant experience. Advised to book beforehand as a table could be limited on walk-ins.More
