We found this pub when the pub we were staying at couldn't offer us dinner. It was a great find Andrew & his staff (or family) made us very welcome. We had lunch & decided to come back for dinner. We sampled the sandwiches, fish & chips, fish cakes & sausages with mash and all were delicious. The pub has... More

We visited here several times for drinks and once for food during our stay in Abergavenny. The staff were friendly and helpful and there was a nice neighbourhood feel. The food was tasty and great value.

If your visiting Abergavenny then this pub is the best place to eat, the landlord and staff are excellent and the food outstanding, you have to try the steak and ale pie its mouthwatering and plenty of it, it's our third visit and never let us down. Thanks for the hospitality. Graham & Carol

We have been here twice now, first in November last year, and recently in September. Both times with friends. The second visit was after the food festival, very busy but quieter than everywhere else. no seats left in the beer garden which was a shame, although we had a table. Over the course of and hour or so we began... More

Not too busy at lunch time and always a warm welcome. Very good, reasonably priced food and well kept beers. Speedy service in the bar/ restaurant or out in an enclosed beer garden - fantastic in the sunshine. Close to the town centre and opposite the cinema

A local shopkeeper recommended this pub. We had a lovely lunch Sat in the pretty beer garden on bank holiday Monday. The food was great, the staff all very friendly and pleasant and the pub and garden spotless. Anyone visiting Abergavenny, you really should give it a go.

The food here is as about as good as pub food gets. A great variety served quickly in nice surroundings by friendly people. The pub garden is a peaceful and pleasant place to sit on a summer afternoon.
