Ate at this little place today and had a really great lunch. Not to busy, friendly atmosphere, and a very pleasant location! Lady who served us was great, smiling and more than helpful. We had one vegetarian and one gluten free member of our small party and all where catered for fantastically!! Our children where on a guide camp so... More

Visited with friends and first time for us for Sunday lunch. Very enjoyable and not rushed. We sat down at mid day, ordered at around 12.30pm and left just after 3pm. Food was very good and we loved the chunky vegetables. The place was busy but not packed. Well worth a visit, whether for Sunday lunch or at any other... More

Just off the main road, but in a rural location, this pub has plenty of parking and outside seating for better weather. The staff were friendly and helpful, the menu extensive and catering for all tastes. The food was well presented and cooked, tasted good, and we enjoyed our lunch. The pork belly was excellent. Thank you.

We came here initially for lunch, but later decided just to have drinks. we felt that the atmosphere was a bit cramped and that the staff could hear everything we were saying, as we could here their conversations quite loudly from behind the bar. i guess its the acoustics of the room. Just felt a bit uncomfortable. Nice selection of... More

Called in for lunch whilst taking a drive out to Usk. Ordered drinks at the bar before being shown to a table. First thing I noticed was place was very clean and nicely paid out. I ordered fish cake off the specials board, whilst my partner had the BBQ chicken. We also ordered a side of onion rings. Food was... More

Excellent food and good deals for Seniors on specific days. We highly recommend this pub/restaurant. Situated in a nice spot and far superior to other pubs in the area.

Poor quality of food, especially the crab cakes as mentioned elsewhere. Three-egg frittata with onion, stilton and mushrooms sounded good but was raw on top. Whitebait was good. Interesting puddind with panacotta and local wimberries - very seasonal.

Potentially this pub has the right surroundings to succeed What stuck me initial, was the menu, it appeared "to be winter comfort food" Dont think the kitchen/owners know we have seasons? Perhaps my mistake settled for gammon with thick cut chips and peas (really imagitive menu?) Rarely having chips at home, these are a treat, well obliviouly purchased from a... More
