The people here were very friendly and, on the whole, the place is not bad to eat in or the hotel to stay at. They are a bit fixed on when you can have dinner so we did not want to eat at 7pm on...More

Went for lunch, drove from Croydon, warm welcome with unhurried but adequate service. Food was delightful and the view down onto the Usk valley was brilliant

We called in not quite knowing what to expect. We were just in time for the great value early bird menu. The vegetarian set menu was very good with an excellent mushroom pie.

Very pleased with the fact as a veggie I was catered for last minute, and the meal itself was generous and extremely tasty. Yorkshire puds among the best I've tasted and the desserts were beautifully presented and equally as large.

A delightful restaurant overlooking the River Usk. The food is consistently excellent, with interesting menus using local ingredients where possible. Food is full of taste with some unusual dishes, something suitable for all tastes. Pleasant ambience and friendly staff.
