We had a lovely meal in the upstairs restaurant at the old boat house on Saturday night. With spectacular views across red wharf bay, we enjoyed a lovely meal, good service and a nice atmosphere. Will visit again.

Headed towards the ship Inn but they had stopped food service until later so went to the boat house, glad we did as food was great and we certainly didn't leave hungry. We had the club sandwich which was one of the best I've had,...More

Three of us called in for early dinner around 6.30pm one Sunday night just before it got busy. It's got a great ambience, friendly and helpful staff and a real cosy bistro atmosphere. The menu was just that bit different and the food was well...More

Ate here twice while staying in Red Wharf bay. Food good and staff friendly, were turned away from The Ship as they had stopped serving food at 3pm, glad we were as we had great fish and chips at the Boat house.

We booked for the upstairs on a Saturday evening and went for an early 6.30 slot. At that point it was quiet and we were pleasantly served. My wife asked for some changes to the vegetables with her choice of main (duck). I ordered a...More

Is the Old Boathouse open in the winter months, and if so what are the opening hours? We called mid-afternoon a couple of days ago, hoping for coffee and scones or similar, but it was all shut up, though I have spotted recent reviews. Fond memories of meals and snacks here at other times of year!
