The food was wholesome and homemade. The portions were big and very tasty. Enloyable on a colder day.

Stopped here after a busy day out exploring. Don't let the unobtrusive exterior put you off, this pub is great. Food was excellent, portions were large and the staff were lovely. Lots of variety on the menu including a lot of vegetarian meals.
What a find!, came across this inn on the way back from Anglesey. What a gem if you like a pub that looks after customers with dogs and offers an excelent menu. But be warned the beef and Guiness pie will fill you and not...More

Firstly, Id urge people to ignore the negative review posted below. Some people would clearly be happier in a Wetherpoons! My friend and I discovered this little gem whilst on holiday this week, nearby in Penmachno. We visited first on the Sunday evening where we,...More
We found this little gem of a place after being late off Snowdon and zip wiring across quarries. Despite only having 30min left to order food they took our party’s order and served us very quickly. Despite the time ‘warning’ they were still willing to...More
we visited for an evening meal as the next venue was some miles away, the place is rundown, dank and dismal stuck in the 1980's,although the staff were very helpful, the food was reminiscent of a poor 1980's transport cafe.More
Thank you for your enlightening review. I would first like to thank the staff for their patience in dealing with some of our more, difficult customers. As for the "rundown, [sic] dank and dismal" atmosphere you experienced, the building is built on bedrock into the...More
We popped in for a meal while staying at the campsite up the road. The staff seemed very flustered and didn’t seem to know what they were doing, so service was quite slow, although they were all really friendly, and we got a free drink...More
Thank you for your review and thank you for your patience on what was an exceptionally busy day. The staff were flat-out all day.
This place is a traditional British pub in every sense...it reminiscent of pubs from yesteryears. We called in here for reasonably priced good food and that’s exactly what we got. A very warm welcome for us and our dog, an open fireplace, good tasty food...More
