We decided to go to Hotel tonight with view to having a couple of drinks and a look at what was on offer on the menu. We were greeted by the barmaid once we had negotiated the obstacles with my wife's mobility scooter. She informed us that she could not serve any acholic drinks to non residents unless we were... snowdoniahotel, General Manager at Riverside Restaurant, responded to this review, 9 May 2017 Thank you for taking the time to review our restaurant and I do totally understand your disappointment in not being able to enjoy our idyllic location just as a bar. Unfortunately we have only ever been issued a residential and restaurant alcohol license by the local authority... More

This restaurant is part of a hotel, even though we weren't staying here (maybe next time we will!) the setting was gorgeous. The food was truly exquisite and the customer service was excellent. Definitely will return here soon.

We have had a lot of birthday meals here for various family meals but after last night we can truly say as locals we will not be returning. First of all the meal we could not fault ( until ruin by the screaming child ) The food was to perfection. A couple members of staff could of been a bit... More

Had an afternoon tea booked at this establishment for my birthday but boy do I regret my decision to eat here! Dry bread, *off* salmon, undercooked Welsh cakes and so much cream on the scones you could make a cream pie with. The outdoor seating was also very tatty along with the crockery. Staff surly and unhelpful when giving feedback... More

This is a beautiful hotel due to the location. We went in for tea and coffee and the entire hotel seating area was completely empty. There was not one single guest or customer in any area of seating. We wanted to sit in the very large (and totally empty) dining area because it is this area which has the stunning... More

I can’t believe this lovely riverside restaurant has such a low ranking. We thought it was superb for its food and ambience. It is classy without being stuffy. A good choice for coeliacs like me, the staff understand about gluten free as a necessity rather than a fad and are happy to discuss and adapt dishes accordingly. Nice touch to... More

I'd booked a table for 7.30 pm and arrived at 7.10 pm to be told that we wouldn't be able to eat at 7.30 pm because a group of six had arrived late and the chefs could only cope with 4 people's orders every quarter of an hour. At 8.05 pm we were eventually taken into the restaurant where the... More

Ate far too much! Beautiful food, well presented. Excellent service and compliments to the chef! Managed to squeeze in a dessert - bread and butter pudding, what a treat.

Superb dinner - food without fault and wonderfully warm, cheerful service from Michelle made the evening the best we've had in Wales. 5 star. Amazing views too.
