We were a group of 10 staying in a local cottage for my Nan's 80th. I had found Tai'r Bull online via trip advisor and as we were a large group I phoned ahead to book. The food was delicious, served hot and nothing was too difficult for the staff, all friendly and very helpful. The only thing that I... More

After a long hike in the mountains Tai'r Bull is a perfect place to warm up and relax at the fire place and enjoy a good English meal.

We stopped on the way to Cardiff from North Wales. It was a good place to stop to break up the journey, easy to find and easy to park. Friendly staff. Service was fast and efficient. Food was very good and decent sized portions. Good value for money.

We booked the whole restaurant for a large group for evening meal. Despite being at the limit of what the restaurant could book, we were so well cared for, and the food was all served promptly, and was of a very good standard. Well done and thanks to all at Tai'r Bull!

Great Sunday lunch (3 courses £15) - decent meat, veg was fine. Lovely puddings. Friendly staff, food was quick in arriving, nice atmosphere and lovely warm bar with a wood burner. Really convenient relative to Pen Y Fan

Stopped in at 6.00 pm after a day out and on our way home. A warm welcome. The bar area has tables at which to eat but the restaurant area is more comfortable and quieter. (No music piped in but you could still hear it coming from the bar. Not to my taste and a bit too loud.) Good Wye... More

A party of 10, we stopped here for lunch. It was Sunday, so it was their roast dinner offer 2 courses for £11-95 (not bad, pretty average for South Wales). We arrived around 2pm. The landlord was pleasant enough behind the bar, which is a nice rustic but very small area so not suitable for us to sit down as... More

Popped by a couple of times when visiting Brecon or the National Park Center and it was closed both times with no-one present on site - both times after 3pm

Nice friendly people, food was good and served hot - convenient location on the A470 just South of Brecon, we sat outside with the dog. Not going to set the world on fire, nothing to rave about, but just what you need really - good food, reasonably priced.

Called here on our way home from a funeral as it was also my wife's birthday. The food was excellent pub type food and the staff were vey friendly and attentive. Would recommend this establishment without hesitation just for the warm welcome only.
