This the second time we have visited , once on a evening and this time during midday and staff very friendly and helpful and the food is very good value and reasonable prices . This place also does Sunday lunch and booking advisable as it seems very popular with people. Will visit again when in the area

We stopped here for late lunch on the way back from Cardiff. We were only after a sandwich, but decided to go for it when we saw the roasts everyone was eating. Upon arrival some of the tables were marked as reserved. We were lucky to get the only available table. It was very busy which was a good sign... More

Yet again a superb meal. This is the place for good home cooked food. Two of us had the home made curry, one of my friends had the scampi and the other one had, from the special's board, the breast of chicken stuffed with leeks. All meals were hot, tasty and very filling. Chris, the landlord, also keeps a very... More

Great little local. The food and service is always good. Best to book on popular days out. Not high end but just nice and dependable. Better atmosphere than many of the chain pubs. Lots of parking. There is a TV in the separate bar to cheer on Wales but can't recall if one in dining area. Just moved to area... More

Sad to say they no longer sell Stella Artois. Replaced by Star o Parmen at 4.20 a pint. Food still very good but a bad move on the lager imho

I appreciate your concern as to where has the Stella gone as I have had other customers asking me the same thing as Stella drinkers tend to be very loyal. However the Stella drinking customers may find a similar case in a lot of outlets due to a change in the business relationship between Stella's parent company and leasing companies... More

As soon as you walk in it has a welcoming feel to it Really easy to get to Staff are friendly And the food is lovely Basic menu but everything is so tasty. The portions are more than generous in this place so make sure you wear your stretchy trousers.

A few friends got together tonight in the bar to have a sing. The bar was packed with many talented musicians who performed all night. The landlord and one of the regulars sang also. We will be back next month on the 4th Tuesday. Some of our friends had a meal in the lounge tonight as well. They were amazed... More
