Has several occasion dinners there. As well as meal deals and meals for two. A varied menu and helpful staff all make it a bonus

Arrival and check-in good, reception staff was friendly and welcoming. Room was average size, clean and adequate for our one night stay. Cocktails were on special offer, £3 each. Good central location with plenty of amenities around, take-aways, bars, convenience stores, cash machines and taxis. However it is a busy area during day and especially at night as the hotel... Cheap and cheerful cocktails, quite a long wait at the bar every time so maybe you could invest in training your staff a bit more. I downloaded the trip advisor app just to say a massive thank you to Shannon who was working last night. So friendly and helpful absolutely made our night! My friend lost his bag and she... More

Don't expect to get served at the bar if you are not a pretty 20 something female. Waited 30 minutes to try and order 5 drinks but every young girl that appeared got served first. DON'T bother !! Even spoke to the manager who wasn't interested and said if I wasn't happy to just leave. I would never recommend this... More

This hotel is in a great location in the middle of the buzzing student area, close to the city centre, with many bars and eateries within walking distance. Our room on the 3rd floor was simply decorated, modern, clean, spacious, had a good hairdryer, adequate bathroom and bed, had self-controlled radiators to manage the temperature and opening high window to... Went for a cocktail night one evening with some old friends from uni - we went during cocktail hour so the drink was flowing and reasonably priced! We decided to stay for food as there was a 2 course deal on. The food was really good, the service was great and the atmosphere of the restaurant aspect was lovely. We... More

We booked a special offer to stay at Madisons at start of Aug 16. I have to say the rooms where a bit disappointing. All they need is a fresh coat of paint and some new soft furnishings. But the restaurant and bar can not be faulted. The cocktails were lovely and especially the Happy Hour. Food in restaurant was... More

I was honestly underwhelmed by the hotel. When we arrived it didn't look like what we'd anticipated to see from the images. We only had breakfast once and it was average. The good part about it is that most of the nice places are within walking distance. They need to look into renovating their hotel if they want to get... More

Ran out of the soup we ordered then the main had to be changed they ran out of spaghetti. Guests getting all served at different times. Did not enjoy. Didn't like menu. No roast dinners. If you don't like fish or chicken there is not much else. Felt like a chippy style menu. Not suitable for a wedding of formal... More
