Have eaten here regularly until the renovations in City Hall started. Excellent spot for lunch. Brilliant concept aimed at assisting those with learning difficulties. Have always found the food to be of good quality and staff very friendly. Can't wait for it to reopen.

tasty homemade food. bright, airy and good mix of people. maybe not the gourmet coffee paradise for some but for good traditional food, great scones, treats and pastries its a brilliant stop. fantastic after doing the free city hall tour and you can also spend time checking out the small but very informative exhibition right in the cafe.

We are delighted you enjoyed the coffee as we are passionate about it. It is supplied by Ristretto, who roast it in Banbridge, Co Down in small batches. It is very popular with our customers. However, we do apologise if you did not like the decor. Unfortunately that is out of our control and is the responsibility of Belfast City... More

This is a"wee gem" of a cafe in Belfast City's prestigious City Hall where I frequently meet friends & colleagues. It offers great lunches, super coffee & free wifi and better still it's a social economy business offering training opportunities for people with learning difficulties. So #buysocial & do try their delicious irish stew!

I regularly use the Bobbin. It's a central venue with good wifi connection. A reasonable range of food and drinks. I also like the fact it is a social economy project. Food is very good - I enjoy the Irish stew and a wide range of traybakes.

This little tea room is situated within Belfast City hall and unlike the vast majority of attraction catering outlets, is run by a social enterprise organisation rather than a large faceless catering company. It really shows. The place is spotless, tables cleared immediately, pleasant surroundings and perhaps best of all, staff who actually want to speak to their customers and... More

I go here probably once a month for lunch when I'm working. The food is homemade in the main, good quality and reasonably priced. Located in a relatively remote corner of the City Hall building, it's not the easiest place for a visitor to find without a guide, but it's worth locating. The surroundings are very impressive, as the City... More

Description
One of Belfast's hidden gems, The Bobbin is fast turning into the go-to place in the City for a soft seat and a warm welcome. Since September 2014, the Café has been managed by the award-winning social enterprise Loaf Catering (part of NOW Group) which supports people with barriers to employment and learning across Northern Ireland into the workforce. The Bobbin provides 15 training places per-week for local people with learning difficulties and offers a range of paid employment opportunities within Loaf Catering and with other local businesses also. We are passionate about our tea, coffee and our food and have created an oasis right in the heart of Belfast where all are welcome to come and unwind and we are open SEVEN days a week. With a homemade breakfast, lunch and afternoon menu available for sit-in or takeaway, we have something to suit everyone's tastes including tempting sweet treats, a range of gluten-free products and a selection of healthy options for grown-ups and little ones alike. Our profits are reinvested back into the work of NOW Group and Loaf's café kitchens are accredited training sites providing training and work experience placements for our catering trainees with learning difficulties. As a social enterprise we firmly believe that money-making businesses could and should use their profits for the greater good. So why not #Buysocial today and come and be part of the Loaf experience, bringing people with learning difficulties right into the heart of our city.
