Description
The Bobbin reopens on Monday, 24 April after being closed since the Autumn for renovations. Please call in and support our new-look cafe! We are operating under temporary opening hours, until Monday, 15 May when we reopen officially complete with a brand new exhibition area! One of Belfast's hidden gems, The Bobbin is fast turning into the go-to place in the City for a soft seat and a warm welcome. Since September 2014, the Cafe has been managed by the award-winning social enterprise Loaf Catering (part of NOW Group) which supports people with barriers to employment and learning across Northern Ireland into the workforce. The Bobbin provides 15 training places per-week for local people with learning difficulties and offers a range of paid employment opportunities within Loaf Catering and with other local businesses also. We are passionate about our tea, coffee and our food and have created an oasis right in the heart of Belfast where all are welcome to come and unwind. With a homemade breakfast, lunch and afternoon menu available for sit-in or takeaway, we have something to suit everyone's tastes including tempting sweet treats, a range of gluten-free products and a selection of healthy options for grown-ups and little ones alike. Our profits are reinvested back into the work of NOW Group and Loaf's cafe kitchens are accredited training sites providing training and work experience placements for our catering trainees with learning difficulties. As a social enterprise we firmly believe that money-making businesses could and should use their profits for the greater good. So why not #Buysocial today and come and be part of the Loaf experience, bringing people with learning difficulties right into the heart of our city.
