I have the Scallops and chips it was absolutely top class, my friends said the same of their choices Fish and Chips. The food was fresh cooked and the staff friendly a must visit place on a much... We were told no visit to Ballycastle would be complete without trying the fish and chips at Morton's. After a long day walking all over Rathlin Island and a very cold ferry ride back to Ballycastle, I was not much in the mood to sit outside and eat fish and chips. But it was our last night in Ballycastle, and... More

Fish was incredibly fresh, batter was perfect, chicken bites were delicious, and chips with gravy fantastic. Service was friendly and helpful.

This is just an over priced take away (wouldn't call it a chipy) the chips cold and hard like the had been sitting for hours, but with it being so busy just leads me to think they'd been reheated or left sitting under a lamp for the 15mins it took to get served. Kids meals at £4 each a handful... More

Visited on last day, recommended by local! Cooked fresh while we waited and was out of this world, compared to the Whitby fish and chip shop of the year. Wish we had discovered it earlier as they had crab fishcakes and scallaps in batter on the menu. Shops like this must be used otherwise the chains will take over. Fresh... More

Must do on the Causeway drive - free car park at edge of harbour lots of lovely areas to sit and eat around the fish shop and harbour. We were blessed with great weather in October so really enjoyed our shared cod and chips - be aware thus is a proper chippy that cooks to order so be prepared to... More

Whenever we are in Ballycastle we go to Mortons. Both the take out and the wet fish shop are excellent.

You can not go to Ballycastle. And not call here. Amazing fish. Fab menu. Service a bit slow bit they are always busy. Be prepared to wait. But it is worth it. Try the cod chunks. Yum yum

Exploring the North shores of Northern Ireland, I passed by the town of Ballycastle. A cozy, harbor community. Asking the locals for a good place for late lunch, I was pointed out to Morton's. A small shaft behind the docks (I said: Perfect! My kind of thing...). It is a take-out place only and, according to the locals, it is... More
