Great coffee shop and very well worth going to the top end of town for, it's not in a great location for passing trade - up near the harbour. The atmosphere is good, retro decor. They've a collection of old plates, tea cosies and even hot water bottles for cold days. The menu is varied and there's deffinately something for... More

Situated at the far end of the south promenade, past the harbour, this little treasure is a welcome beacon of rest and revival after a lengthy, yet picturesque walk from the direction of the Slieve Donard Hotel. Given it is small, somehow they manage to fit so many people into it and a few tables outside for when the sun... More

Had breakfast here and it was delicious. The quiche and stuffed peppers looked amazing as did the cakes and buns. Quirky interior and pleasant staff. Very busy too with locals which is always a good sign. Would return if in area again

We came here for lunch on a recommendation and weren't disappointed. The fish pie was delicious and came with a side salad and great bread. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. Reasonably priced.

The staff are very friendly even when very busy as is often the case. We eat here on a regular basis post run/walk/cycle and look forward to good coffee and something tasty. The only drawback is its popularity but if you gauge it right you can have a relaxing brunch or afternoon coffee.

This small cafe is at the harbour area of Newcastle. Very popular with local people and always seems to be busy. The friendly staff and good quality food all make this a good cafe outside the main town area. Use it as an excuse to walk out to the harbour and back.

The atmosphere is different because the decor is different so the place has a distinct air of originality.

Olive Bizarre is a delicious little spot in the harbour area of the town. You can enjoy exquisite teas/coffees with goodies galore and a view to die for. Our afternoon tea is highly recommended and our traybakes and scones will not fail to please. We have a vast range of savoury dishes and provide an array of gluten free and vegetarian foods. Our child friendly policy is also popular and to top it all our friendly team will make you feel very welcome. See you soon. John and Ciaraxox
