Every time we come to visit my Mum in Newcastle we come here. Again it was great food and even better customer service. We had the 2 courses for £15 with a free wine and all 5 of us loved all the dishes we were served. Service was excellent and both the guy and lady looked after us so well... More

What should have been a great meal was a disaster, The Bar was very olde Worlde (see the Photos). Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to hype. The bar does have a good reputation locally and this was my wife and I first visit despite living not too far away. The staff were great, the two we met were friendly... More

My mum and I visited this restaurant at the end of August. Mum ordered battered haddock and chips, it was an awesome portion size, freshly made and tasty. I ordered the asparagus and prawn linguini, it was actually langoustines and asparagus however it was delicious again a great portion size too. Prices were extremely reasonable and staff were extremely warm... More

Watched a football match in the bar on Saturday. Very nice bar and good range of drink. Barman was very friendly. Other members of my family went into the restaurant for lunch during the match and were very complimentary about it. I have eaten here twice in the past and found the food very nice. The decor in the bar... More

I've been to this bar a number of times - most recently in July 2016, and found it has a good atmosphere and a good selection of beers both on tap and bottled - was very busy on the Friday night i was in, but this is probably a good sign! Very well placed at one end of the Newcastle... More

The fish and chips and the chowder is excellent. The pub has a great atmosphere and of course the locals are willing to talk to we tourists! The staff was fun, friendly, and flexible. We chose to go back the second night because we loved it!

Fantastic day for my sister's wedding. The staff and the food was fantastic and the location for pictures is brilliant as it's at the foot of the Mourne mountains and right beside the sea. Would highly recommend the place as a wedding venue.
