We took the ferry over for a walk to the castle. As we made our way along the track little signs marked the way to this amazing tea garden. We were warmly welcomed and took a seat in the garden. The menu was very simple...More

This place is at the tip of the isolated island of Kerrera. The seating is outdoors only, which was perfect on the sunny day of our visit. We were delighted by the friendly welcome. We only wanted a snack and we were particularly impressed by...More
We tackled the circular walk from the ferry in very heavy rain and arrived drenched through! A friendly staff member quickly ushered us into a lovely quirky converted byre which was a warm and cozy haven on such a wet day. Our cakes were delicious....More
Run by a small number of people, friendly and welcoming! We visit every year for the past 5 at least! A friend works at the Kilbowie Activity Centre! Visiting Oban for 7 years for the Sea Kayak race, we travel from Cornwall!
If you walk around Kerrera (and I suggest you do), walk counter-clockwise around the island and make this your goal (located near the end of the walk). By the time you arrive you will be in the mood for the fantastic food and drink. Very...More
Fantastic tearoom on the island of kerrera - my daughter loved the teapot clues on our walk and the hearty soup was welcome after our walk.....the rhubarb & custard cake was yummy x
The circular walk round the southern end of Kerrera is a sheer delight. Coming off the small ferry (12 passengers and no cars) we went straight ahead and over the ridge, gaining glorious views over to Mull. However, after a few miles we were flagging...More

Thanks Ian for your lovely review! It really is great to hear when people appreciate what we do and where we are! Thanks again- hopefully we'll see you back for another visit soon :) All the best, Aideen
Stopped at the tea garden for a well needed cuppa after walking from the ferry, as it was a really warm day, and we sat in the garden. I had a ginger and lemon tea served in a cup cum teapot affair and the wife...More
Thanks so much for your review! We do try to please folk with our teapot collection! Indeed- you would be surprised to find how many folk think they can bring their own food to our cafe, not sure it would happen on the mainland! We...More
You can enjoy a nice cup of tea and a cake or scone here but it is about a 45-minute walk from the ferry. Check the last ferry time just in case as it is a long walk back to the pier.
Thanks for your review! You are absolutely right about the walking times- good advice for anyone wishing to visit. All the best! Aideen
