Lovely, lovely food. Well worth the visit. Smoked haddock with potato, spinach and cheese sauce with poached egg was to die for. The other 5 had fabulous food too but I was just too busy enjoying my own to care! We had fine wine, coffee...More

Had a couple pizzas and the white bait which was decent, but the calamari that we ordered was horrible. Way over done and fried to a crisp. Finished the portion as we were staving but definitely not the sort of calamari quality you would expect...More

Four of us visited for lunch. Three of us had the special - which was a half portion of lemon sole with chips, peas, lemon and tartare sauce. Cost £6 per head. The half portion was still a good size and fish was very well...More

There are a number of fish and chip shops in Oban but this was the only one we used and all I can say is that there was a bit of a wait of about 15 minutes, probably because it was busy, but the fish...More

After wandering around Oban looking for somewhere to eat and not being impressed by the prices charged, even for takeaway food, I could see the Oban Bay had decent prices and was in a fine location with a harbour view, unlike some of the competition....More

We had fish and chips (takeaway rather than sit in!) Great portion size, freshly cooked, quick and friendly service. Very good indeed.

While on holiday in Oban with our 2 dogs, we visited this restaurant/take-a-way as it had outside seating. My husband and I ordered fish and chips from the restaurant but our daughter ordered a battered pizza from the take-a-way as it was not available from...More

Second time in this establishment and it was just as good as the first. Friendly staff, nice surroundings and reasonably priced. We ordered the salmon fish cakes and the traditional fish and chips (haddock), which comes with tea or coffee. I had a Fanta orange....More

We sat there with friends in order to have a late lunch. We ordered haddock, shrimps, scallops and a side salad. All portions were big enough, especially the side salad. The seafood was fresh and tasteful! The waitresses were helpful and quick to service us!...More

The DiCiacca family have been running successful restaurants in Oban for 3 generations. Onorio and Elvira first came to Oban from Picinisco, Italy in 1959 to open their first chip shop. The Family's dedication to their customers and delicious recipes with big Italian flavours, have kept the Locals and the Visitors to Oban full and happy for generations. Renato and son Antonio, continue this long line of culinary tradition with the Oban Fish Bar & Restaurant and Nories Fish & Chip shop, which is just a little further along on George Street in Oban. Being in The Seafood Capital of Scotland, The Oban Fish Bar & Restaurant offers a wide choice of Fish and Seafood to tantalise your taste buds, but for the non fish eaters amongst you, enjoy the hand cut chips, try the delicious homemade Italian dishes or give the Gourmet Burgers from the local butcher a go. Maybe you're looking for authentic handmade Stone Baked Italian Pizza's? We've got that covered as well. Renato also likes to keep up with the latest developments which means we now also offer Gluten Free batter so everyone can enjoy the DiCiacca Family's delicious dishes.
