Turnbull's was our favourite place to go for coffee and light lunches - it's scones and tray bakes, salads and open sandwiches among the best in the Borders. As regular customers since it opened in 2008, I was very sorry to hear it was closing. However I did feel on my last visit the decor was beginning to look tired... More

Situated on the High Street this is a great place for a light bite or a coffee! Always efficient service from the staff and my favourite is the haggis panini! Much better than the one in Galashiels!

Called into the cafe as I am a Turnbull. Lovely quaint little cafe to the back of the shop. If you are a Turnbull (or love scottish products) then this is the place to indulge in a little luxury.

Looking for a small lunch in Hawick and we came across this cafe. The interior is plain contemporary and nicely old fashioned. The menu has a good range of interesting choices and is supported with a "Specials" board. We ordered at the counter where care was taken to ensure that we were not expecting purely vegetarian ingredients for one of... More

Friendly staff. Nice lunchtime meal, reasonable prices, tasty soup, good sandwiches, and the cakes and coffee were good as well. Would go back another time.

Always good service and food is really good too. Nice location....can sit in or eat outside on the lovely walkway next to the Horse Monument which is a focal point in the centre of Hawick.

Lovely place for a light bite of lunch. I had a breakfast panini with the best tasting black pudding ever and my wife had a quiche with salad and coleslaw. Great if you find yourself in Hawick looking for something quick and unfussy.

We were hungry after a long drive through the borders so when we came upon turnbulls, we were very happy. The food was lovely. Faultless with those old fashioned flavours in all of the dishes. The milk shakes were wonderful and properly made with fresh strawberries not your usual cheap syrup. On the down side it wasn't cheap and the... More

Come and a scone please, in this idilic, olde world place. I thought that this place was years and years old, by the way it has been done out.....wrong...it's only 7 years old. Excellent coffee and the scone with jam was fantastic. Would defo go back

If you want good quality fair then head here. It's the sort of place you would have gone to forty years ago. Good service tops it off.

Thank Malcolm H
