What a great place - now trading as Tower Mill. We had two huge, tasty pizzas and a nice bottle of Merlot for just over £20.00 - excellent value. Interesting building with a lively atmosphere and a young but very capable team. Recommended.

I love this place. It is by all appearances, a great place to get a very safe cheese toasty (they are tasty) but I am a regular visit here as a result of the pizza. Two for £10, and the size of a tray these are an unexpectedly great treat. Tasty, hot and delicious. Colleagues from London request we eat... More

Often pop in for a coffee if having a meeting or going to the small cinema that's there. It serves tea and coffee plus snack food rather than meals. The tea and coffee is extremely over priced and comes in small or large or I should say more like not so large. It can be very quiet and lacking in... More

Very relaxed atmosphere, in a spacious, refurbished old mill. Pizza's are fantastic value for money.

Used to be a lovely place to hang out. Now the staff had very little time for anyone. Were told just as we were paying that card machine wasn't working (no sign up). Ordered our coffees two cappuccinos. Sat up stairs with our cakes and waited. And waited. And waited. There was a large table uncleared which I watch two... More

On arrival we had to clear dirty plates and cups off of our table before we could sit down (all the free tables had plates/cups on them). My friend and I ordered two paninis and a hot drink. I waited over 15 minutes for my coffee to arrive and over 45 minutes for our food. The staff are friendly and... More

Beanscene, or as it is known now The Heart of Hawick, does the most amazing pizzas. There are other options on their menu, i.e. Various sandwiches etc but their pizzas are excellent. Choice of toppings with really crispy bases only £5.50 each or two for £10.00 and believe me they are not small. A bit of a wait for one... More
